POSITION SUMMARY
Support the Finance department in developing and maintaining financial and analytic reports, utilization data, budget/forecast modeling, and ad hoc analyses in support of the company's business objectives.
COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS
Works closely with all departments necessary to ensure that processes, programs, and services are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner in accordance and compliance with CHG policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable state and federal regulations including DHCS, DMHC, and CMS.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial and statistical reporting Prepare and analyze reports on membership, revenue recognition, IBNR, and capitation Support finance department leadership by building reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions based on current business and compliance needs using reporting tools such as SQL and Tableau Process improvement and innovations Creating tools to support, enhance, and streamline the accounting and finance department processes and internal controls Financial Planning and Analysis - Assists in the preparation of operating budgets and forecasts Provide analysis on enrollment, claims and healthcare costs, and financial data as it pertains to Managed Care and constructs necessary reports and datasets using SQL Perform thorough data validation and reconciliation of reports to ensure accuracy Ad hoc projects Create and conduct special projects as requested
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance/Economics/Accounting, Information Systems or related field of study
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis and reporting, capitation, and budgeting Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in reporting and analysis Ability to work on a cross-functional team High proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with SQL programing or equivalent relational database management tool Experience with Tableau Familiarity with ERP and reporting systems such as FRX or Cognos Experience in a Healthcare company preferred Strong initiative and ability to handle multiple projects and complete tasks timely and accurately Effective communication skills
